After her husband Mark’s unexpected death, Kate Killian escapes the constant reminders of him by accepting a long-term engineering project management assignment in Kuwait. Her emotional side all but shut down, she intends to use hard work and logical analysis to restore balance to her life. She begins to believe in second chances after she meets Irishman Colin Hastings, a contractor on the job she oversees.

She might be able to overcome the geographical issues–he’s lived in the Mideast for a decade and his family is in Ireland, she is on a temporary assignment in Kuwait but lives in the United States. But can she get past her continuing love for Mark and feelings of guilt when she thinks about anyone else?

If not, she’ll need to learn how to rebuild her life alone.
